The Wavedancer Low Isles Cruise is a full-day Great Barrier Reef tour from Port Douglas that takes guests to the Low Isles, a pair of picturesque coral cays surrounded by vibrant reef ecosystems, perfect for snorkelling, reef viewing and beach exploration.
Yes. Snorkelling equipment and safety briefings are provided, with shallow, calm waters making it ideal for both beginners and experienced snorkellers. None swimmers can enjoy glass bottom boat tours, reef presentations, and relaxing on the beach or vessel deck, offering plenty of reef experiences without entering the water.
You’ll encounter a wide range of tropical fish, colourful corals, sea turtles, rays, and other reef species, depending on conditions. The Low Isles are renowned for their healthy coral gardens and clear waters.
The tour departs from Port Douglas Marina, with check in required before boarding the vessel. The Low Isles are approximately 25 km offshore, with the catamaran taking about 1 hour each way to reach the reef from Port Douglas.
We recommend that you bring swimwear, a towel, reef safe sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, and a water bottle. Comfortable footwear is useful for walking on the island.
