FAQs About Uncle Brians - Best of Both Worlds

Yes. The Uncle Brian’s Best of Both Worlds Tour is an overnight trip where you will be staying at their “On The Wallaby Eco Lodge”. Breakfast on day 2 is provided as well as lunch for both days and Dinner for day 1.

The Best of Both Worlds Tour is a full-day guided adventure that explores the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Guests experience lush tropical rainforest walks, native wildlife encounters, and stunning coastal views where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.

Absolutely. Though the tour is not exclusively backpackers, the tour has been enjoyed by many travellers since it began and has ranked itself as the highest rating tour in Cairns. This is a great opportunity for guests to meet new people and have fun, whilst exploring some waterfalls and the worlds oldest rainforest.

The reason the tour is named best of ‘Best of Both Worlds’, is because it combines rainforest exploration and tropical beach scenery, giving guests a chance to see both the ancient forest ecosystem and the pristine coastline where the rainforest meets the reef.

We recommend that you bring comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, insect repellent, a hat, a camera, water and light clothing. Rain jackets may be useful in wetter months. As well as enough change of clothes for both days and your own personal hygiene products.

You may see saltwater crocodiles, cassowaries, kangaroos, the elusive tree kangaroos, tropical birds, snakes, lizards and other native species, depending on the season and time of day.

The tour runs year round, but dry season months (May–October) offer the most comfortable walking conditions and the best chance to see wildlife in open areas.

The walking is generally light to moderate, with short rainforest trails, beach walks, and boardwalks. Guests can take photos and enjoy stops at a relaxed pace. The tour is generally accessible for seniors and guests with limited mobility, with most rainforest walks being gentle and coach transfers provided between major stops.
