EXCELLENT Based on 422 reviews Posted on Anousack ThepphommaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wasn’t sure what to do in Cairns, so I visited their office. Eleanor at the counter was very helpful and gave me great advice on which tours suited me. I booked two tours—Kuranda went smoothly and I had an amazing time. The Fitzroy Island tour was cancelled due to technical issues, but Kirk (who seemed like a manager) called me, resolved everything quickly, and arranged a similar tour for me instead. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed my time in Cairns. If you’re visiting, definitely stop by their office—you won’t regret it.Posted on Sven RudolphTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were fortunate enough to be advised by Bailey. He helped us choose the best day in terms of weather and calmly described and recommended various snorkelling tours to us. The tour we ended up booking was fantastic, as was the weather. For this reason, we were very happy with the advice and would definitely come back again.Posted on G EATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great Service, handsome ladPosted on Shannon El HanbliTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family and I were visiting Cairns for a week only and wanted to have a memorable visit of the Great Barrier Reef. We were welcomed by Eleonore Fabre - she gave us outstanding service. She recommended the Moore Reef plan and we could not have had a better day. My kids (and I 🤭) loved the slide that led right into the ocean off the pontoon. Would highly recommend to stop by and see Éléonore at the Cairns branch!Posted on Mack BurgessTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Guests can do a total of up to 9 total dives whilst taking part in the 5 day PADI open water course. This is broken down into 4 training dives and 5 dives for pleasure which includes 1 night dive. Night dives can only be done once Open water certificate is complete.
No experience is required. This course is designed for complete beginners, with professional instructors guiding you step by step through theory, pool training, and open water dives. After completing the course you will feel equiped to go solo diving.
No. The first 2 of the 5 days includes your theory and pool testing done at the state of the art training centre. After completing the training you will then get aboard one of the dive vessels for 3 days and 2 nights living with fellow divers to complete the rest of your dives, including the option of a night dive after completing you necessary dives.
We recommend that you bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, a sense of adventure, and any personal items needed for your stay including hygiene. A medical questionnaire must also be completed before diving.
In Australia it is of the upmost importance that you complete a dive form before diving. Common conditions that may require medical clearance include asthma, heart conditions, epilepsy, recent surgery, pregnancy, or certain medications. Your dive operator will provide the correct medical form and guidance to ensure your safety and compliance with regulations.
The course is structured to be immersive but manageable, balancing learning, practice, and rest. Skills are introduced gradually, making it suitable for beginners while still providing plenty of in-water experience.
The 5-day PADI Open Water course offers a more relaxed and comprehensive learning experience compared to a condensed 3-day program. With extra time, students can absorb theory more comfortably, practise skills at a steady pace, and gain greater confidence underwater.
