At the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs there is a wide variety of marine life, including colourful healthy corals, different types of reef fish, turtles, rays and occasionally reef sharks. Clear waters and the plethora of wildlife make these reef sites among the best for snorkelling and diving.
From Port Douglas, Silver Sonic cruises to three sites at the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs, which lie on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef and are known for excellent visibility, dramatic coral formations and abundant marine life.
Yes! At each site you can snorkel, and diving (both introductory and certified) is also available as an optional extra at each location, giving you multiple ways to experience the reef.
Yes! Certified divers can use their qualifications to do up to three dives across the three different reef sites. Dive gear and professional dive masters are included in the dive price.
Yes. Beginners are welcome to join on the fun at Silver Sonic. All of your snorkelling gear (mask, snorkel, fins and during season stinger suits) is provided, and snorkel briefings and safety guidance are given at each reef site. A member of staff is responsible for watching out on all the guests aboard whilst they are in the water to check if everyone is okay.
The Silver Sonic tour departs from the Port Douglas Marina as Silversonic, for Outer Reef trips. If you want to do Silversonic from Cairns you can, with a complimentary pick up from cairns hotels starting at around 6.30am.
Yes, a hot and cold buffet lunch is served onboard between reef sites, along with morning tea when you depart and afternoon tea on the return journey. Dietary requirements can be met onboard as well if you let them know in advance.
The tour includes up to five hours of time at the reef locations. There is plenty of opportunity across all of the sites to snorkel, dive, relax, and experience what the Great Barrier Reef has to offer.
