Your Private Reef Adventure

Cruise from Cairns aboard a traditional sailing vessel and head towards Green Island and Pinnacle Reef, where your group can spend the day swimming, snorkelling, diving and exploring.
With an exclusive mooring close to Green Island, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the reef away from the crowds. The crew take care of the day while you relax, explore the island and enjoy a tropical buffet lunch on board.

Sample Itinerary
7:30 AM
Check-In and Boarding
Check in at Reef Fleet Terminal at Ocean Free + Ocean Freedom desk.
8:00 AM
Set Sail
Depart Cairns for the Outer Reef. The crew gives a full briefing on activities and options during the cruise
9:30 AM
Arrive at the Reef Site
Upon arrival at Pinnacle Reef, just 1km from Green Island, guests can enjoy a swim, snorkel , a dive (optional extra ) or just relax. Ocean Free’s exclusive mooring ensures that the ocean is uninterrupted by crowds. The“bommies” (coral outcrops) and coral gardens, from just 1 metre under the surface, are teaming with life and make viewing easy.
12:30 PM
Lunch
A large smorgasbord lunch consisting of Tasmanian smoked salmon , prawns, mixed meat platter, chicken platter, 3 fresh salads, assorted breads is served on board the boat and tropical fruit platter, cheese and crackers and cake served on the sail home.
2:00 PM
Green Island
Guests can enjoy most of the day on the island or just an hour exploring the walking tracks and rainforest– the amount of time spent between the island and the boat is the guest’s choice. The island is perfect for a swim, sunbathe, glass bottom boat, a semi sub or Marineland Melanesia (where crocs in captivity can be seen as well as many other sea-life).
