Every evening at sunset, something truly magical happens on Phillip Island—hundreds of little penguins emerge from the sea and waddle across the sand back to their burrows. This tour gives you a front-row seat to witness this heartwarming ritual up close. Before the penguins steal the show, you’ll spend the day exploring some of the island’s top highlights. Get up close with Australian wildlife at Moonlit Sanctuary, where your guide will introduce you to koalas, kangaroos, and more. Then, feel the sea breeze at Cape Woolamai Beach, and take a walk along the Nobbies boardwalk, where rugged coastlines, blowholes, and Seal Rocks offer stunning ocean views—and maybe even a fur seal sighting!
As dusk approaches, we’ll make our way to Summerland Beach, where the real magic begins. Once the sun dips below the horizon, the little penguins start to appear in small groups, cautiously waddling their way across the beach after a day of fishing at sea. It’s a moment that’s both peaceful and unforgettable. Walk along the boardwalks to see them up close without disturbing their natural journey, and if you’re visiting in summer, keep an eye out for penguin chicks waiting patiently in their nests. With all entry fees included, this is a great-value tour full of wildlife, ocean views, and one-of-a-kind memories.

The best time to see the Penguin Parade is during the Australian spring and summer, from September to February. This is the breeding season, so the little penguins come ashore regularly and you may even see chicks in their nests, especially between November and January. Days are longer and the weather is warmer, making the experience more enjoyable.
EXCELLENT Based on 422 reviews Posted on Anousack ThepphommaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wasn’t sure what to do in Cairns, so I visited their office. Eleanor at the counter was very helpful and gave me great advice on which tours suited me. I booked two tours—Kuranda went smoothly and I had an amazing time. The Fitzroy Island tour was cancelled due to technical issues, but Kirk (who seemed like a manager) called me, resolved everything quickly, and arranged a similar tour for me instead. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed my time in Cairns. If you’re visiting, definitely stop by their office—you won’t regret it.Posted on Sven RudolphTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were fortunate enough to be advised by Bailey. He helped us choose the best day in terms of weather and calmly described and recommended various snorkelling tours to us. The tour we ended up booking was fantastic, as was the weather. For this reason, we were very happy with the advice and would definitely come back again.Posted on G EATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family and I were visiting Cairns for a week only and wanted to have a memorable visit of the Great Barrier Reef. We were welcomed by Eleonore Fabre - she gave us outstanding service. She recommended the Moore Reef plan and we could not have had a better day. My kids (and I 🤭) loved the slide that led right into the ocean off the pontoon. Would highly recommend to stop by and see Éléonore at the Cairns branch!Posted on Mack BurgessTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
