The meeting point for Waltzing Matilda is down at the Coral Sea Marina, 1-3 Shingley Drive, 4802. It is always best to email or call Waltzing Matilda 2 days before your departure date, so you know exactly where to meet at the correct time!
No, alcohol is not included on the Waltzing Matilda and you cannot purchase it on board. However it is bring your own alcohol, so you can bring your favourite beers!
Every boat has different rules on alcohol! It is always best to check two or three days before what booze you’re allowed to bring! Nearly all boats don’t allow you to bring glass bottles, hence why spirits or wine usually can’t be brought with you!
You should bring a small overnight bag with you, don’t bring a huge suitcase with you as there is limited storage on board most mosts. You should bring toiletries, 2 days worth of clothes, swim clothing, sunscreen, and any permitted alcohol!
You don’t need to bring closed shoes on the Whitsundays. You will have a chance to go for some rainforest walks, so it is recommended to bring! However it is perfectly safe to just wear sandals.
Three day tours vs two on the Whitsundays. Well, both are fantastic, Travel Hub would say the longer the better! However everyone has their own preference. 2 Days 1 Night Whitsunday trips are great for those whom want a smaller duration, are not confident on boats, on a budget or simply short on time!
There are only 14 guests max on Waltzing Matilda Two Day One Night trip! This is one of the smallest capacities for a overnight boat!!
EXCELLENT Based on 422 reviews Posted on Anousack ThepphommaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wasn’t sure what to do in Cairns, so I visited their office. Eleanor at the counter was very helpful and gave me great advice on which tours suited me. I booked two tours—Kuranda went smoothly and I had an amazing time. The Fitzroy Island tour was cancelled due to technical issues, but Kirk (who seemed like a manager) called me, resolved everything quickly, and arranged a similar tour for me instead. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed my time in Cairns. If you’re visiting, definitely stop by their office—you won’t regret it.Posted on Sven RudolphTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were fortunate enough to be advised by Bailey. He helped us choose the best day in terms of weather and calmly described and recommended various snorkelling tours to us. The tour we ended up booking was fantastic, as was the weather. For this reason, we were very happy with the advice and would definitely come back again.Posted on G EATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great Service, handsome ladPosted on Shannon El HanbliTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family and I were visiting Cairns for a week only and wanted to have a memorable visit of the Great Barrier Reef. We were welcomed by Eleonore Fabre - she gave us outstanding service. She recommended the Moore Reef plan and we could not have had a better day. My kids (and I 🤭) loved the slide that led right into the ocean off the pontoon. Would highly recommend to stop by and see Éléonore at the Cairns branch!Posted on Mack BurgessTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
