Skyrail Rainforest Cableway: You will be amazed as you glide over and through the World Heritage Listed Rainforest on the cableway. This iconic rainforest experience includes time at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations, both with lookouts offering spectacular views of the Barron gorge and waterfall.
Kuranda Village: Enjoy free time to explore the “Village in the Rainforest” with its quaint cafes, bustling market stalls and wildlife parks.
Kuranda Scenic Railway: On board the famous railway, enjoy the historical commentary along the scenic journey with breathtaking views of the mountain ranges, tropical rainforest, and waterfalls and across the rocky Barron Gorge.

This package includes Skyrail, Train, bus transfers from your hotel and back to take you to and from skyrail/train. Also includes an audio guide in a language of your choice.
This package is flexible and the different times and found at the booking stage above. This is because above is not a tour, its a self guided day. You’re simply booking the skyrail, the train and your bus transfers too and from.
You’ll encounter a wide range of Australian wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, cassowaries, and the only Tasmanian Devils in North Queensland. There are also opportunities to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies. However this is mainly seen at the attractions found up in Kuranda such as Birdworld, Koala Gardens and The Butterly Sanctionary.
The Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience is an interactive cultural presentation where you’ll learn how to throw a boomerang and traditional spear, enjoy a didgeridoo demonstration, and watch a powerful traditional Aboriginal dance performance.
The SKyrai and Train both have their pros and cons. Everyone has their own opinion which is better. Our advice? Travel on both the Skyrail and Train with bus transfers. This also allows you free time in the village to explore and do any sought after activities.
Yes, the Kuranda Tour is ideal for families. Children love the wildlife encounters, butterfly sanctuary, Army Duck ride, and cultural experiences. It’s suitable for all ages.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a camera. Light clothing is best for the tropical climate.
